Reclaim your roots, rewild your soul.

We believe that humans are meant to live with a deep connection to the land. Fresh air and sunshine feed the body and the mind. Modern technology has removed us from our basic primal roots. The Creator did not make cities, asphalt, concrete buildings, or modern chemicals. All of these things are man-made. They remove us from the amazing things that the natural world has for us. They are toxic both physically and emotionally. Humans have successfully existed for eons among the mountains, deserts, and prairies without these modern “amenities”.

Our mission is connecting people with their ancestral origins.

Who we are…

My name is Jeff Archer. I was born and raised in the high desert of Arizona. As a boy I was never into sports or school. I always had a strong pull toward the natural world. As a young man I would (and still do) find any excuse to disconnect from the modern world and immerse myself in nature.

I took my first primitive skills class in 2006 with Tony Nester through Northern Arizona University. Since then, the thirst for learning these skills has never been quenched. For continuing education, I attend primitive skills conferences around the western United States.

Now in my 40’s I am raising my two boys with my best friend Erin. We are strong believers in homeschooling and with that lifestyle, we are able to embrace the mission of Project Rewilding in our own home. Our boys are practitioners of traditional archery, atlatl, primitive pottery, bushcraft, trade as an economy, and hunting.

How we connect you…

Education

We have a particular passion for sharing these skills, especially with kids. Learning the “old ways” of how our ancestors thrived in a world without modern technology and comfort is (in our opinion) the best way to reclaim your roots. Courses can be a la carte or based on our predetermined curriculums. (if you see something on our social media, odds are we are willing to teach it to you!!!). If you’re interested in a course, give us a call: 928-925-1012

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Primitive fire

  • Knife, axe, & primitive tool use

  • Ropes & Knots

  • Bushcrafting

  • Primitive trapping

  • Leather working

  • Native Flute

  • Gourd bowls/canteens/vessels

  • Basic survival

  • Preparedness

  • Net making

  • Primitive weapons

Gear

From time to time, we offer gear that can be purchased directly through us. We don’t have an online store, go direct with us. If we have items for sale, we will likely make those known through our social media channels. This could be anything from atlatl darts to T-shirts.

Apothecary/Plant Medicine

We believe that the Creator has provided many of the things we need for our daily health. Not only does this include sunshine and fresh air, it includes plant and herbal medicine! In small batches and limited runs, we produce certain plant medicines that we use in our own home. We typically end up with a surplus of these medicines and love sharing with others.

  • Desert Chparral salves and balms

  • Functional mushroom tinctures

  • Juniper based pain relief salve
